St. Basil's Cathedral, Moscow

My second day in Moscow we walked through the city. Teresa lead me to Red Square and we toured the cathedral. She had been living in the city for two years and had yet to set foot in it.

Outside, gathered in small groups or otherwise cut through the square. A bride and groom appeared and posed for photos with people. Later, we caught them walking through the GUM department store, and wondered if they were really a married couple. They seemed to be playing dress-up.

At the moment I can't remember if I took this photo that afternoon/evening or another. I remember Teresa telling me that on her first weekend in the city she spent a long time trying to take a self portrait in front of the Kremlin and St. Basil's. I had brought her a digital camera, and she spent some time photographing me in various positions jumping between the two structures.
