Caviar ad, Moscow

I fell in love with caviar while in Moscow. One afternoon, on the way home, Teresa and I stopped in the GUM department store for coffee. As we were leaving we stopped into a gourmet supermarket for bread. Passing the caviar counter, I couldn't help but want to sample it. We bought 100 grams to take home.

Near the apartment, we passed a group of Kazakhstanis selling torpedo mellons. They were in season, and Teresa told me that they'd drive vanfulls of fruit to Moscow to sell, sleeping in their vans until their stock was depleated. They'd then drive back home and return with more fruit.

Back home, we sliced up torpedo melon and bread, unpacked the caviar. We sat in the kitchen and ate. The caviar was delicious, popping in the mouth. The melon was incredibly sweet, the meat deliciously ripe. From then on, every afternoon I would return to the apartment to slice off some melon and spoon some caviar onto a piece of bread as a snack before dinner.
